Co:Creation is an electronic work created for a short film of the same name by Harriet Davey, made as part of Cosmos Dark Layers Shifting Fãçts, a feature-length documentary following five Berlin-based artists. Co:Creation reinterprets Hieronymus Bosch's Garden of Earthly Delights, imagining the creatures who were never present to have been painted in his original work.
The music occupies a similarly threshold space, distant and choral, with a quality closer to resonance than melody. It sits at the edge of the recognisable, lending the work an atmosphere that is neither wholly sacred nor wholly strange.
The piece premiered at the Julia Stoschek Foundation, Berlin, as part of the screening of Cosmos Dark Layers Shifting Fãçts, and was subsequently broadcast on ARD Kultur.
