Viatrix's Odyssey is an audiovisual work with visuals byHarriet Davey, music by Imogen Davey, and text by Julia-Beth Harris, commissioned for NXT Museum's fifteen-month exhibition UFO - Unidentified Fluid Other. The work follows Viatrix, an androgynous avatar guiding visitors through a wetland world shrouded in haze.
The soundtrack is built from samples of water drops and dial-up internet noise, combining natural and synthetic sound into an ambient collage that returns at each new stage of Viatrix's journey, evolving with each encounter.
