Graupel explores the alteration of flute timbre using electronic means. The timbral content of both the acoustic flute sound, and the sonic world of the electronic sound create tension and the result encourages the audience to question the boundary of electronic and acoustic sound, the processed and the unprocessed, and the human and the machine.
